NORWHAL Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the NORWHAL iOS app (“NORWHAL,” “the app,” “we,” or “us”) handles information. By using NORWHAL, you agree to this policy.

1. Summary

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
• We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
• Most gameplay data stays on your device.
• Optional Game Center and App Store purchases are processed by Apple.

2. Information stored on your device

NORWHAL stores the following locally on your iPhone (for example via Apple’s UserDefaults API):

• Game settings (sound, haptics, selected mode, tutorial state)
• Local high score and run history needed for progression
• Pearl balance, inventory, equipped powerups, and unlocked skins
• Purchase grant records needed to avoid duplicate Pearl credits
• Queued scores waiting to sync to Game Center when you are signed in

This information remains on your device unless you choose optional Apple services described below. Uninstalling the app removes local data.

3. Game Center (optional)

If you sign in to Apple Game Center, Apple may process your Game Center player identifier, display name, friend relationships, matchmaking data, leaderboard scores, and achievements according to Apple’s Privacy Policy.

NORWHAL uses Game Center only to:

• Authenticate players
• Submit and display solo high scores on the all-time leaderboard
• Enable optional online Multiplayer Duel matchmaking and invites
• Report achievements where configured

You can use Solo Endless without Game Center. Online duels require Game Center.

4. In-app purchases (optional)

Optional consumable Pearl packs are sold through Apple’s App Store / StoreKit. Apple processes payment information. We do not receive your full payment card number or Apple ID password.

On your device, NORWHAL verifies purchase transactions before granting Pearls and keeps a local record of processed transaction identifiers so the same purchase is not granted twice.

5. Data we do not collect

• We do not operate our own user accounts or cloud player profiles.
• We do not collect precise location.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
• We do not include advertising networks or sell advertising inventory.
• We do not use the App Tracking Transparency / IDFA advertising identifier.

6. Children

NORWHAL is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us outside Apple’s services, contact us and we will delete any such information under our control.

7. Data retention

Local app data remains until you clear app data or uninstall. Game Center and App Store purchase records are retained by Apple under Apple’s policies. Local purchase-grant records remain on device to protect against duplicate grants.

8. Security

We rely on iOS sandboxing and Apple’s platforms for Game Center and payments. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

9. Your choices

• Play offline without Game Center.
• Sign out of Game Center in iOS Settings to stop score sync and online matchmaking.
• Manage or request refunds for purchases through Apple.
• Delete the app to remove local NORWHAL data from your device.

10. International users

NORWHAL is distributed through the App Store. Apple may process data in the United States or other countries where Apple operates.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
